Exemption Granted to NSW Caravan Parks
We are pleased to confirm that the Minister for Health and Medical Research, The Hon. Brad Hazzard, MP, has granted an exemption to NSW caravan parks from certain restrictions under the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order 2020 (Public Health Order).
The Amendment Order changes the Public Health Order to now say that caravan parks and camping grounds must not be open to members of the public except for the purposes of accommodating:
• permanent residents of the caravan park or camping ground,
• overnight travellers,
• persons working in the local area,
• other persons who have no other place of permanent residence or whose primary place of residence is temporarily unavailable, and
• visitors to the persons set out above.
These changes apply from today, 4 April 2020.
We will now verify if your booking is in accordance with the government’s restrictions above prior to confirming your booking.
To assist us in processing your booking enquiry, please complete our enquiry form and we will get back to as soon as possible. We will get in touch to ask you some questions about your recent travel history and if you have any COVID-19 related symptoms and we reserve the right to not accept your booking if we find it does not adhere to the NSW Public Health Order.
Is your office still open?
You will notice some changes to our operations to reduce interactions between people. These measures include:
- all payments are now to be made via credit card or bank transfer prior to arrival, to limit the amount of cash being handled by our staff
- office doors will only open between 9am and 10:30am daily and staff will otherwise be contactable by phone or email during office hours
I had a booking for the Easter Long weekend. Can I change or cancel my booking?
If you were due to stay with us over the Easter Long Weekend, which is a non-refundable period, we are relaxing our booking terms. If requested we will place a credit on your account. This can be used any time prior to 5th April 2021*
If you are unable to travel between now and 5th April 2021* you may transfer this credit to a family member or friend. If this is something you’d like to do, please email the office with the transferee’s details and we will contact you to arrange the transfer.
I have an upcoming booking (not over the Easter long weekend). What should I do?
If the Order closing caravan parks to tourists remains in force, and you have a booking less than 14 days away, we are relaxing our booking terms and can place a credit on your account to be used prior to 1 December 2020.
Otherwise, you may request a refund or credit in accordance with the applicable booking terms found here.
I have just travelled to Australia or have crossed the border in NSW. What should I tell you?
Restrictions are currently in place for many states and territories of Australia. You will need to tell us if are subject to a requirement to self-isloate.
