COVID-19 – What we are Doing?

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is posing a health risk across the globe. At Dunbogan Caravan Park, the wellbeing of our guests and staff is our utmost priority and you can be assured we are taking every step to ensure you can safely enjoy your stay in our beautiful regional destination.

In line with current government advice, our caravan park will remain open while we are an essential service.  We are closely monitoring advice from the NSW Department of Health and this includes putting in several additional measures to increase hygiene and awareness across our parks to keep you and us safe.  These measures include keeping our essential facilities open but limiting their availability to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID-19.

To support all our guests who are complying with the direction to cancel all non-essential travel, we are also relaxing our booking terms for 2020 Easter Long Weekend allowing you move your booking to another time before 5 April 2021.

Are you still open?

Yes. We are still open for business supporting all our permanent residents and those that do not have a fixed address’.  Facilities for guest that do not have self-contained facilities will be asked to cooperate by abiding by our measures to limit access to our community facilities on a needs-only basis.

You will also notice some changes to our operations to reduce interactions between people.  These measures include:

  • all payments are now to be made via credit card or bank transfer prior to arrival, to limit the amount of cash being handled by our staff
  • office doors will only open between 9am and 10:30am daily and staff will otherwise be contactable by phone or email during office hours

The Amendment Order changes the Public Health Order to now say that caravan parks and camping grounds must not be open to members of the public except for the purposes of accommodating:

  • permanent residents of the caravan park or camping ground,
  • overnight travellers,
  • persons working in the local area,
  • other persons who have no other place of permanent residence or whose primary place of residence is temporarily unavailable, and
  • visitors to the persons set out above.

These changes apply from today, 4 April 2020.

I want to adhere to the government directive to delay all non-essential travel. Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, if you are due to stay with us and your booking is more than 14 days away, you have a number of options.  Please see here for our booking terms around cancellations and changes.

If you were due to stay with us over the Easter Long Weekend, which is a non-refundable period, we are relaxing our booking terms and you may move your booking to another period to any time before 5 April 2021.  Please call or email our office to amend your booking.

I have a booking but don’t have self-contained facilities. What should I do?

We recommend phoning or emailing us to move your booking to another time or to place a credit note on your account as we are limiting the availability of our community facilities to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID-19.

Social distancing rules will apply for the duration of your stay (2m separation).
